What Are the 16 Personality Types?
The AI Personality Type Test is an independently developed tool by AI Test Lab, based on the psychological typology theory of Swiss psychologist Carl Jung. It analyzes personality across four psychological axes to identify which of 16 types best describes you. While it uses a similar framework to the Myers-Briggs Type Indicatorยฎ (MBTIยฎ), this test is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Myers-Briggs Company.
The 4 Psychological Axes
Measures whether you gain energy from social interaction (E) or from time alone (I).
Measures whether you process information through concrete facts (S) or patterns and possibilities (N).
Measures whether you make decisions through logical analysis (T) or personal values and emotions (F).
Measures whether you prefer a planned, organized lifestyle (J) or a flexible, spontaneous approach (P).

Reliability & Limits โ How to Read Your Result
It's not unusual for one letter of your type to change when you retake the test later โ especially on any axis where your score sits near the middle (50:50). Mood, wording, and context can tip a borderline result one way or the other. Treat your type as a snapshot of current tendencies, not a permanent label.
A type test slices continuous traits into four either/or splits and sorts you into one of 16 boxes. That means someone who landed 51% vs 49% on an axis gets the same letter as someone at 90% vs 10%. The degree of your lean on each axis tells you more than the letter alone.
If a description feels uncannily accurate, part of that can be the Barnum effect โ our tendency to accept vague, broadly-true statements as uniquely personal. As you read, ask 'would this fit most people too?' to keep your read honest.
This test is a starting point for self-understanding and conversation, not a clinical diagnosis. Use your result as a prompt โ 'in what situations do I tend to react this way?' โ rather than a verdict. To go deeper, see the articles below.
